Advantage Higher Education (Advantage Higher Ed.)

 Advantage Higher Ed offers a clear framework to guide coaches in helping 3rd -12th grade to navigate various learning systems and access the academic opportunities available to youth, based on their goals and preferences.

Lodestar Program

The Lodestar Program is a comprehensive education coaching program designed to guide 3rd to 5th grade students in navigating various learning systems and accessing academic opportunities. The program aims to empower students to make informed decisions about their education based on their individual goals and preferences.

Each 1 Teach 1 Program (E1T1)

E1T1 is a coaching program designed to guide middle school students in navigating various learning systems and accessing academic opportunities. The program aims to empower students to make informed decisions about their education based on their individual goals and preferences.

Bros and Keeps (BAK)

BAK familiarize middle school male students with the joy of reading and writing. The program’s goal is to pair a middle school student with a college student, who serves as literacy coach. Students participate in ice-breaking activities to build rapport with their coach.

Resolving Altercations Peacefully (RAP)

RAP is a program that aims to reduce violence and promote positive relationships among students in schools. The program uses college students who serve as coaches, and work with students to resolve conflicts through demonstrating peace mediation practices, which include dialogue, empathy, and problem-solving skills. The program also creates peace centers within schools, where students can access resources, support, and guidance on how to deal with various issues and challenges. The program is based on the principles of restorative justice, which focuses on repairing the harm caused by conflicts, rather than punishing the offenders. 

College & Career

To familiarize high school students with the college enrollment and career process, the purpose of college and career, and receive assistance from a college student whose role is to serve as a college and career coach. Activities include interactive sessions explaining the program, ice-breaking activities to build rapport between the coach and students.

This program provides a clear framework for the coach to guide students in their college admission journey, financial aid process, and career process. It is flexible and can be adapted to meet the unique needs and goals of each student. The program aims to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking for help. It also encourages parental involvement to ensure an integrated approach to student development. The program’s success depends on the active participation and commitment of the students and the coach.

Student Med-Coach

Health Coach is a program that aims to improve the quality of care and patient satisfaction in local health care institutions. The program recruits and trains college students who have an interest in health-related careers and assigns them to work as health coaches for patients who need extra support and guidance. Health coaches provide bedside services such as emotional support, health education, medication adherence, and communication with patients’ family, and self-care management. They also communicate with the health care team and help patients navigate the health system. Health coaches are supervised by a program coordinator and receive ongoing feedback and mentoring.

Scholars’ Lab Program (grades 3rd – 12th) is our portal designed for Individual coaching and maintains students’ educational content areas. The coach uses the portal to helps the student set achievable academic goals, and with the student, monitors success, and track incentives. Scholars Lab is the academic electronic coaching intervention and assistance model utilized at Advantage. Our goal is to provide students with tools and skills necessary to increase their performance, learn effective study techniques, strengthen literacy, writing & communication, and math skills. The lab help students develop responsibility and agency in their own personal academic journey.

Future Workforce Program

Future Workforce Program aims to develop innovative solutions for the future of work using immersive technologies. The program addresses the skills gap, enhances workforce productivity, and fosters lifelong learning.
